Job Summary:
The Sales Executive will be responsible for driving sales, delivering excellent customer service, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations in the sports retail store. The role involves product knowledge, visual merchandising, achieving sales targets, and promoting the brand’s image to enhance customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales & Customer Service
- Greet and assist customers with product selection based on their needs and preferences.
- Achieve individual and store sales targets.
- Explain product features, benefits, and promotions effectively.
- Upsell and cross-sell products to maximize sales opportunities.
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and returns professionally.
2. Product Knowledge & Merchandising
- Maintain a thorough understanding of product lines, sizes, and new arrivals.
- Ensure shelves and displays are always well-stocked, clean, and visually appealing.
- Support visual merchandising and product placement as per brand guidelines.
3. Store Operations
- Maintain store cleanliness, organization, and premium presentation standards.
- Ensure products are properly displayed according to visual merchandising guidelines.
- Monitor product availability and report stock shortages.
- Assist in daily opening and closing store procedures.
- Support smooth day-to-day retail operations.
4. Inventory & Stock Handling
- Assist in receiving, checking, tagging, and organizing inventory.
- Maintain accurate stock arrangements in-store and warehouse areas.
- Support stock counting and inventory audits.
- Help monitor fast-moving and slow-moving items.
5. Social Media & Customer Engagement
- Support store social media activities including product stories, customer engagement, reels, and basic content creation.
- Assist in capturing in-store product photos/videos when required.
- Help respond professionally to customer inquiries through digital channels.
6. Reporting & Coordination
- Coordinate with Store Manager regarding sales, footfall, customer feedback, product demand, and operational improvements.
- Support promotional campaigns, launch/combo offers, marketing activities/events.
- Collaborate with the team to maintain a positive, disciplined, and team-oriented working environment.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: Minimum 10+2 or Bachelor’s Degree (preferred).
- Experience: Preferred minimum 1-2 years in retail sales preferably sports retail, fashion retail, or customer service is preferred.
- Skills Required:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for sports and fitness products is an advantage.
- Good product presentation and customer handling ability.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Basic computer and billing system knowledge (POS).
- Ability to work in shifts and weekends.
- Product recommendation ability to customers.
