Role Overview
The IT Executive will be responsible for providing technical support and ensuring the smooth functioning of the organization's IT infrastructure. The role includes troubleshooting technical issues, maintaining networks and systems, managing software and hardware installations, and supporting end-users across the organization. The position plays a critical role in minimizing downtime and ensuring uninterrupted delivery of services and business operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-level technical support to employees and resolve hardware, software, network, and system-related issues.
- Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, and other peripheral devices.
- Assist in the setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting of LAN, Wi-Fi, internet connectivity, and network devices.
- Manage installation, configuration, and updates of operating systems and software applications.
- Maintain IT asset inventory and ensure proper documentation of hardware and software resources.
- Create and manage user accounts, email IDs, and access rights as per company policies.
- Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for equipment maintenance and support.
- Monitor system performance and perform routine preventive maintenance.
- Ensure timely backup of critical data and support data recovery activities when required.
- Assist in implementing and maintaining information security practices and IT policies.
- Support employees in using Microsoft Office applications and other business systems effectively.
- Maintain records of IT support requests and resolutions.
- Escalate unresolved issues to the Sr. Executive – IT and assist in implementing corrective actions.
- Provide support during onboarding and offboarding of employees, including device allocation and account setup/deactivation.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and recommend improvements to enhance IT efficiency.
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Applications, or a related discipline.
- Diploma or certification in IT, Networking, or Hardware Management will be an added advantage.
Experience
- Freshers are encouraged to apply.
- Internship or project experience in IT support, networking, or system administration will be preferred.
Technical Skills
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with computer hardware, printers, and networking concepts.
- Understanding of LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, internet connectivity, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Basic knowledge of antivirus software and data backup processes.
- Exposure to remote desktop tools and helpdesk support systems will be an advantage.
