Job Description
We are looking for a skilled Senior Python Developer with strong experience in Python development, backend application development, API integration, and database management.
The ideal candidate should have good problem-solving skills, a strong understanding of software development practices, and the ability to work independently on development projects. Prior ERPNext/Frappe experience is not mandatory. Candidates who are interested in learning ERPNext and Frappe Framework will be provided with the opportunity to develop their skills in this area.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend applications using Python.
- Develop and integrate REST APIs and third-party services.
- Work with databases such as MySQL/MariaDB and write optimized SQL queries.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues.
- Develop new features and enhance existing applications based on business requirements.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following development best practices.
- Work with frontend and backend teams to integrate applications and services.
- Use Git and version control practices for development and collaboration.
- Participate in code reviews and ensure code quality.
- Understand business requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
- Take ownership of assigned development tasks and deliver them within project timelines.
- Collaborate with Business Analysts, Functional Consultants, QA teams, and other developers.
- Learn and work with ERPNext/Frappe Framework based on project requirements.
Required Skills
- 2–5 years of experience in Python development.
- Strong knowledge of Python programming and backend development.
- Experience in developing REST APIs and integrations.
- Good knowledge of MySQL/MariaDB and SQL.
- Understanding of object-oriented programming and software development principles.
- Familiarity with Git/version control systems.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to understand requirements and develop appropriate technical solutions.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
Good to Have
- Experience with Django, Flask, FastAPI, or similar Python frameworks.
- Knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Experience with third-party API integrations.
- Basic understanding of Linux environments and deployment.
- ERPNext/Frappe experience is an added advantage but not mandatory.
