Overview:
Kolkata, India | Hybrid – 3 Days/Week in Office
The Test Engineer 2 is responsible for writing code and scripts, identifying tools for functional and non-functional tests, and contributing to automated test frameworks to ensure the delivery of high-quality software and products. In this role, you will design test plans, procedures, and code/scripts to accurately assess new products and updates in accordance with product requirements and department quality standards. You will collaborate with engineering groups to define, document, analyze, perform, and interpret tests for products, systems, components, and software modifications, while contributing to the establishment and use of the build pipeline.
Your Role Responsibilities — Here's What You'll Do
Lead the verification of system functionality by executing moderately complex automated and manual tests, analyzing results, and providing recommendations; record test outcomes and report defects and results in the test repository.
Verify performance and scalability of the system; actively participate in planning, work estimation, solution demos, and reviews.
Provide troubleshooting support for moderately complex production and software issues to ensure application stability; actively participate in formal reviews of software products, databases, and environments relating to software testing.
Role Essentials — What You Bring
BS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience, with knowledge of all phases of the test lifecycle and software application testing tools, methodologies, and process frameworks.
Experience in development on Windows/Linux platforms, with experience using source control systems such as Git and/or TFS, database technology such as Microsoft SQL Server and/or Oracle, and Agile frameworks.
Experience with test design, regression testing, and documenting standards, practice guidelines, and/or standards.
Strong communication, organizational, multi-tasking, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
