Key Responsibilities
- Concept & Spatial Design: Develop comprehensive interior design concepts that respect the architectural "bones" of a building, integrating classical proportions, symmetries, and historical period details.
- Material & Art Collection Selection: Source authentic, high-quality traditional materials including solid woods (teak, rosewood), natural stones (marble, terracotta), brass accents, and hand-loomed textiles.
- Restoration & Integration: Oversee the sourcing, repurposing, and placement of architectural replicas, antique furniture, vintage doors, and historic artifacts to act as character-driven focal points.
- Architectural Detailing: Design intricate millwork, wainscoting, picture frame mouldings, ceiling medallions, and custom built-in cabinetry that add depth and visual history to spaces.
- Client & Vendor Collaboration: Collaborate with clients to interpret their stylistic heritage and coordinate with specialized artisans, traditional craftsmen, and contractors to ensure execution quality.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, Historical Preservation, or a closely related field.
- Experience: 3–5+ years of interior design experience, with a dedicated portfolio showcasing luxury residential, hospitality, or heritage restoration projects.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, or 2D/3D software for generating spatial layouts and detail drawings.
- Deep understanding of historic color palettes (earthy ochres, deep olive greens, rich jewel tones) and period-specific motifs.
- Portfolio: A comprehensive portfolio displaying a strong grasp of texture layering, antique integration, and high-end traditional or "Modern Heritage" design aesthetics.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
