Key Responsibilities
1. Inventory & Procurement Management
- Maintain optimal stock levels at the main branch as well as all outlets, ensuring no shortages or overstocking.
- Take full responsibility for stock maintenance, monitoring, and control across all locations.
- Coordinate with Ashok Leyland and authorized suppliers for timely procurement of spare parts.
- Conduct regular stock audits and ensure accurate record-keeping in the system.
- Manage warranty claims, defective parts, and returns as per company policies.
- Analyze stock movement and suggest replenishment plans based on demand trends.
2. Sales & Revenue Growth
- Develop and implement strategies to increase spare parts sales through active promotion.
- Conduct field visits to garages, fleet owners, and transporters to generate new business.
- Organize and execute workshop-level promotional activities to boost in-house sales.
- Educate customers on the benefits of using genuine Ashok Leyland spare parts.
- Identify potential B2B and B2C customers and build strong, long-term relationships.
- Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets.
3. Coordination & Customer Support
- Work closely with the service team to ensure timely availability of parts for vehicle repairs.
- Assist customers in selecting the correct spare parts based on vehicle requirements.
- Handle customer queries regarding pricing, availability, and warranty claims.
- Ensure smooth billing, invoicing, and documentation of all spare parts transactions.
4. Reporting & Additional Responsibilities
- Submit weekly and monthly reports on inventory status, sales performance, and market demand.
- Analyze customer buying patterns and recommend stock adjustments accordingly.
- Ensure proper storage, handling, and safety of spare parts in warehouses and outlets.
- Handle any other responsibilities related to the service department as assigned by management.
Key Requirements
- 2–5 years of experience in spare parts management, preferably in the automobile industry.
- Knowledge of Ashok Leyland spare parts and commercial vehicle components will be an advantage.
- Strong sales and marketing skills to drive spare parts revenue.
- Ability to efficiently manage inventory, procurement, and logistics.
- Experience working with Dealer Management Systems (DMS) or inventory software preferred.
- Good communication and negotiation skills for customer interaction and field sales.
- Self-motivated, target-driven, and result-oriented mindset.
- Willingness to travel locally for field sales visits.
Preferred Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Automobile Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Prior experience in an authorized vehicle dealership spare parts department.
