TEACH was established in 2016 as a non-profit organization. Our vision is to build an equitable ecosystem for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing students. Our mission is to facilitate higher education for them that helps them lead their lives independently and successfully, and assisting them in their personal, professional, and social development.
We currently operate across three campuses in Mumbai, Delhi and Pune, and our vibrant community comprises 500+ students. With extensive industry connections across 30+ employers and sustainability partner organizations, we follow a holistic outcome model. Our student programs cover the following three pillars: Higher education, Skills development, and Aptitude development.
Our institution comprises three sections (in each campus location - Mumbai, Delhi, Pune):
- Academic Foundations – focused on foundational English, Mathematics, Information Technology, and basic skills.
- Higher Learning and Skills – focused on external academic examination preparation, intermediate-level skills, and English development.
- Professional Excellence – focused on advanced academics, advanced skills, corporate communication, internships, employability, and workplace readiness.
Our programs for Corporates include: Employee sensitization, Training sessions on Indian Sign Language (ISL), and Onboarding support.

Role Summary
The Lead of Section is responsible for providing strong academic and operational leadership to the assigned Section through: overseeing day to day section operations, ensuring effective delivery of programs to students, supervising faculty performance, supporting holistic student and faculty growth, and driving achievement of measurable and agreed learning outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day planning, scheduling, and delivery of the Section’s specific curriculum.
- Monitor classroom instruction and provide constructive feedback to faculty to maintain TEACH’s high teaching standards.
- Ensure students are fully prepared for various internal assessments and external academic examinations through optimum support.
- Supervise, mentor, and evaluate the performance of teaching staff within the assigned Section using TEACH’s performance management system.
- Identify training needs and ensure timely training for faculty per approved faculty development programs
- Conduct regular department and staff meetings to align on TEACH’s goals and share best practices; and ensure alignment with TEACH’s core values.
- Address staff grievances promptly and ensure compliance with HR and Admin policies and processes.
- Ensure a positive work culture that engages and retains staff at a section level in collaboration with HR.
- Ensure open positions are filled promptly in collaboration with HR.
- Monitor student progress, attendance and engagement; implement appropriate interventions for students who need extra support.
- Ensure a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment on campus that encourages student confidence and participation.
- Ensure TEACH’s socio-emotional support initiatives are actively communicated and available to students, including guidance and counseling services.
- Lead and supervise day-to-day academic operations, scheduling, and resource-allocation in line with policies and guidelines.
- Collaborate with Senior Management and other Leads on actively sharing best practices and ideas for continuous improvement.
- Ensure accurate documentation on student enrollment, learning progress metrics, and program outcomes at section level, for reporting and key meetings.
- Build strong relationships with parents and legal guardians of students through regular updates, meetings, and orientation sessions regarding student progress.
- Ensure periodic parent engagement sessions that promote adequate support to students at home.
- Actively present the work and progress of the assigned section during external stakeholder visits and meetings with other key partners.
Education and Experience:
● Master’s degree in Commerce, Science, Arts, Education, Special Education, Social Work, or a related field.
● Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in educational leadership, academic planning, or education center management.
● Proven experience working in School or Educational sector or specialized education setups is highly preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Competencies:
● A deep belief and commitment to the potential and rights of Deaf and hard-of-hearing learners.
● Good verbal and written communication skills in English. Proficiency in Hindi and / or Marathi will be an added advantage.
● Excellent planning, organizing and coordination skills.
● Ability to build high performing teams and drive a values-based work culture.
● Eye for detail and comfort with numbers for creating reports and analyzing data.
● Warm and friendly demeanour with excellent interpersonal skills, and ability to build meaningful trustworthy relationships.
● Self-driven with high levels of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality.
● Good time management skills with the ability to multitask and meet agreed timelines.
● Ability to influence through dialogue, and persuade others to right course of action
● High emotional maturity with the ability to resolve conflicts through mediation and objective analyses.
● Comfortable using Google Work Suite (Docs, Slides, Sheets, Google Drive).
● Ability to comply with agreed organizational standards, policies and processes
● Tolerance for ambiguity and comfort with change management (as this role will play a vital role in implementing new processes, as needed).

Pay: ₹500,000.00 - ₹800,000.00 per year
