Key ResponsibilitiesMachine Setup & Operation
- Set up CNC / VMC machines as per job requirements
- Load and verify CNC programs (G-code / M-code)
- Install and align fixtures, jigs, and workpieces
- Perform trial runs and ensure proper machine functioning
Tool Handling
- Select appropriate cutting tools, inserts, holders
- Set tool offsets and tool length corrections
- Monitor tool wear and replace tools when required
Production Activities
- Ensure production as per daily plan and targets
- Maintain cycle time and minimize downtime
- Support operators during production
Required Skills & Qualifications Education
- ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or relevant field
Experience
- 0–5 years experience in CNC/VMC machine setting
Technical Skills
- Knowledge of CNC programming basics
- Ability to read engineering drawings
- Knowledge of GD&T (preferred)
- Experience with Fanuc / Siemens / Haas controls
