Position: SPM Assembly Technician
Experience: 1–2 Years
Location: Thirumullaivoyal, Chennai
Job Responsibilities
- Assemble Special Purpose Machines (SPM) as per engineering drawings.
- Read and interpret mechanical assembly drawings and BOM.
- Assemble machine structures, sub-assemblies, and mechanical components.
- Install linear guides, ball screws, bearings, gearboxes, motors, cylinders, and other machine components.
- Perform machine alignment, fitting, and adjustments.
- Troubleshoot mechanical assembly issues and identify root causes.
- Rectify assembly defects and ensure smooth machine operation.
- Coordinate with the Design, Electrical, and Production teams during machine assembly.
- Conduct machine testing and support trial runs.
- Ensure quality standards and safety procedures are followed during assembly.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and the assembly work area.
Required Skills
- Experience in SPM machine assembly.
- Ability to read mechanical drawings and BOM.
- Knowledge of machine fitting and alignment.
- Mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with pneumatic components and basic hydraulic systems.
- Good understanding of hand tools and power tools.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and time management skills.
Qualification
- ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
