Roles and Responsibilities
1. Financial Analysis and Reporting
- Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting transactions, financial statements, journal entries, and other financial reports.
- Assess accuracy, completeness, and compliance with reporting and procedural standards, including handling some of the organization's more complex entities.
2. Regulatory Compliance and Reporting
- Prepare, record, and maintain financial schedules, reports, and filings as required by laws, regulations, or management directives.
3. Bank and Ledger Reconciliation
- Reconcile bank statements to cashbooks and general ledger accounts, ensuring all discrepancies are promptly addressed.
4. Taxation
- Calculate taxes owed and prepare tax returns, ensuring compliance with payment, reporting, and other tax obligations.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years handling U.S. accounting, with a proven track record of managing international or offshore clients.
- Proficiency in U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Strong financial and accounts knowledge.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
- Ability to interact fluently and confidently with U.S.-based clients.
- Ability to think critically and propose innovative ideas to optimize processes and enhance efficiency.
