A Senior Accountant in a mid-sized crumb rubber manufacturing company with emphasis on raw material imports (typically tire scrap and rubber waste). This role requires balancing precise manufacturing and cost accounting compliance.
Job Summary
The Senior Accountant will lead the accounts department in managing the full accounting cycle, reconciliations, specializing in the importing rubber scrap and waste. You will be responsible for review, accurate accounting, financial reporting and managing foreign currency transactions.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting
· Data Entry Reviews: Review day to day data entry recorded by data entry operator in Tally in compliance with GST and TDS.
· Statement Preparation: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with The Companies Act.
· MIS Reporting: Develop Management Information System (MIS) reports to provide insights into profitability and operational efficiency.
· Inventory Management : Inventory management in Tally Software. Raw Material, Finished good and Consumption of Store should be matched with Physical Stock on day to day basis.
Taxation & Statutory Compliance
· Direct & Indirect Tax: Manage timely data preparation for filing of GST (including GSTR-1, GSTR-3B) and TDS returns.
· Audit Oversight: Coordinate audits, ensuring all documentation is audit-ready.
Import & Trade Accounting
· Transaction Management: Oversee accounting for import of goods, including tracking foreign currency payments (e.g., USD/EUR) and managing exchange rate differences including final vendor payment and bank remittance.
· Costing & Documentation: Verify shipping invoices, freight charges, and import duties to calculate accurate "landed costs" for inventory.
Required Qualifications & Skills
· Education: Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Accounting (B.Com/M.com) or Commerce. Professional certifications like Inter CA.
· Experience: Minimum 5–8 years of progressive accounting experience, specifically within import-export and manufacturing sectors.
· Software Proficiency:
o Advanced mastery of Tally Prime.
o Expert-level Microsoft Excel skills (V-lookups, pivot tables).
· Attention to Detail: Precision in reconciling bank statements, customer ledger and vendor ledgers to prevent financial discrepancies.
· Leadership: Proven ability to mentor junior staff and manage cross-departmental communication.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
