Responsibilities:
Typical day in the life of an US Client Accounting Services Senior Manager:

Supervising US accounting and payroll engagements to achieve objectives including staff development, client needs, and engagement profitability.

Oversee a team of accountants working together to provide accounting and payroll services for clients from a multi-faceted approach.

Utilize technology to properly account for all accounting transactions for the client in real-time.

Reviewing workpapers and financial statements prior to Partner involvement.

Oversee the month/quarter/period end process including a review of month-end balancing and journal entries, analysis of GL accounts, coding and completion of data entry bank statements, and other bookkeeping transactions.

Manages the preparation of reports, returns, and other documents required, including sales tax reports, payroll reports, year-end tax forms, monthly/quarterly/annual financial statements and other reports required by clients.

Actively seeking and providing feedback in order to develop the CAS practice.

Supervising and delegating duties to Associate, Senior Associate and Manager level staff.

Providing mentoring and technical training for staff in the CAS department.

Coordinating engagement performance between staff in India and staff in the US including client interactions with US clients, as needed.

Ensure timely and accurate performance on assigned projects.

Maintain compliance with project budgets, turnaround times, and deadlines.

Participating in training seminars and professional development activities.
Qualifications:
Who you are?

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting preferred; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.

12+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience required.

Valid CPA or CMA license or working towards obtaining one of these licenses preferred.

Strong knowledge of GAAP and comfort handling complex accounting issues.

Ability to think innovatively to incorporate technology solutions and streamlined processes.

Ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally.

Ability to work on multiple projects and meet deadlines by setting priorities with work projects.
-
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and clients.

Proficient with computers, Microsoft Office (Word and Excel), QuickBooks, and using various software packages.
