Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Housekeeping Manager to lead our housekeeping operations in Hyderabad, India. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the housekeeping department, ensuring exceptional cleanliness, organization, and presentation standards across all guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces. You will manage team scheduling, conduct quality inspections, and drive staff training initiatives while maintaining our commitment to world-class guest service and operational excellence. Lead and supervise daily housekeeping operations, managing team assignments, productivity expectations, and performance metrics to ensure departmental goals are consistently met

Conduct thorough room and public area inspections to verify cleanliness standards, maintenance requirements, and guest readiness, maintaining detailed documentation of findings

Train and develop team members on service standards, safety protocols, chemical handling procedures, and room care techniques, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability

Collaborate effectively with Front Office, Engineering, Maintenance, and Food & Beverage departments to manage guest requests, coordinate room status updates, and resolve operational challenges

Ensure strict compliance with local health and safety regulations, sanitation policies, and organizational standards, maintaining comprehensive compliance documentation

Support recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, and performance management activities, contributing to team development and career progression initiatives

Monitor and manage inventory levels of linens, guest supplies, amenities, and cleaning materials, optimizing ordering processes and controlling departmental costs

Prepare and coordinate special guest room setups, VIP accommodations, and follow-up services, ensuring personalized attention and service recovery when needed

Maintain lost and found documentation, conduct property-wide cleanliness inspections, and address maintenance concerns proactively

Perform manager-on-duty responsibilities as assigned, demonstrating leadership by example and delivering exceptional guest service recovery in all situations
Qualifications
**Required Qualifications:

Minimum 7 years of professional housekeeping experience in a hotel or hospitality environment, with at least 1 year in a similar role

Proven expertise in managing housekeeping teams, including staff scheduling, training, and performance management

Strong knowledge of housekeeping operations, cleaning protocols, and quality assurance standards

Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high presentation and cleanliness standards

Demonstrated leadership presence with the ability to motivate, develop, and support team members

Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills with the ability to make decisive decisions in fast-paced environments

Exceptional organizational and time management abilities with capacity to manage multiple priorities simultaneously

Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments

Physical capability to move throughout work areas, occasionally lift up to 25 pounds, and remain active during work shifts
**Preferred Qualifications:

Hospitality management degree or Bachelors in Hotel Management or equivalent qualification

Experience with Property Management Systems (PMS) such as Opera or housekeeping management applications (HotSOS, Alice, or similar platforms)

Bilingual proficiency (English and Hindi or regional languages)

Budget management and cost control experience

Vendor management and procurement experience

Knowledge of local health, safety, and sanitation regulations applicable to hospitality operations
