Key Responsibilities
Production Planning & Execution
- Execute daily, weekly, and monthly production plans in coordination with the Projects and Planning departments.
- Ensure production targets are achieved within the committed delivery schedules.
- Monitor production progress and remove bottlenecks to maximize throughput.
- Coordinate with Design, Purchase, Stores, Quality Control, and Assembly departments for smooth production flow.
- Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machines, and materials.
Manufacturing Operations
- Supervise fabrication, machining, welding, assembly, fitting, and finishing activities.
- Ensure manufacturing follows approved drawings, BOMs, process sheets, and quality standards.
- Monitor subcontracted operations such as Halar coating, heat treatment, balancing, and machining.
- Verify readiness of materials and tooling before releasing jobs to production.
- Ensure correct routing and sequencing of components throughout manufacturing.
Team Leadership
- Lead and mentor production supervisors, engineers, and shop-floor personnel.
- Allocate manpower efficiently across production activities.
- Conduct daily production review meetings.
- Train employees on manufacturing best practices and safety procedures.
- Drive accountability and continuous improvement within the production team.
Quality & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to Quality Assurance Plans (QAP), Inspection Test Plans (ITP), and customer specifications.
- Coordinate with the Quality department to resolve production-related quality issues.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions for recurring defects.
- Maintain compliance with ISO quality systems and manufacturing standards.
- Promote a "Right First Time" manufacturing culture.
Productivity Improvement
- Identify opportunities to reduce production cycle time.
- Improve machine utilization and labour productivity.
- Implement Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, and waste reduction initiatives.
- Reduce rework, rejection, and production losses.
- Standardize manufacturing processes and work instructions.
Resource & Inventory Management
- Monitor consumption of raw materials and consumables.
- Minimize material wastage and improve inventory utilization.
- Coordinate with Stores for timely availability of production materials.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of critical components.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate production records and daily progress reports.
- Update ERP with production status and job completion.
- Prepare reports on production efficiency, delays, bottlenecks, and resource utilization.
- Participate in production review meetings with senior management.
Safety & Housekeeping
- Ensure compliance with all factory safety regulations and safe work practices.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and enforce the use of PPE.
- Maintain clean, organized, and efficient work areas through 5S practices.
- Promote a culture of zero accidents and continuous safety improvement.
Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹65,000.00 per month
