About the Role
We are seeking an accomplished and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the financial operations of our Automotive Tier-1 organization. The ideal candidate must bring extensive experience in banking, finance, internal accounting, and financial controls, along with deep knowledge of automotive sector requirements, OEM relationships, and high-volume manufacturing environments.
This is a key leadership position responsible for driving financial strategy, optimizing capital structure, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting long-term organizational growth.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Financial Leadership
Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with organizational goals and growth plans.
Provide direction on long-term financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and capital allocation.
Advise the CEO and Board on financial performance, risk management, and business opportunities.
Financial Management & Controls
Lead financial operations including accounting, taxation, treasury, and financial reporting.
Strengthen internal controls, audit systems, and compliance processes across all plants and offices.
Ensure timely and accurate preparation of MIS, monthly/annual financial statements, and statutory reports.
Banking & Treasury
Manage banking relationships, credit facilities, working capital, and cash flow optimization.
Negotiate term loans, project financing, vendor financing, and credit limits with banks and financial institutions.
Oversee hedging, foreign exchange management, and treasury planning (if applicable).
Cost Management & Profitability
Drive cost optimization across manufacturing operations, supply chain, and overheads.
Implement cost-saving initiatives using financial analytics and industry benchmarks.
Monitor plant-level costing, BOM cost structures, variance analysis, and margin improvement plans.
Regulatory Compliance & Governance
Ensure compliance with Companies Act, Income Tax, GST, FEMA, Labour Laws, and other statutory regulations.
Coordinate internal and external audits; ensure timely closure of audit findings.
Lead risk management initiatives including financial, operational, and compliance risks.
Business Partnering
Collaborate with manufacturing, supply chain, R&D, and commercial teams to support business decisions.
Review investments, CapEx proposals, new product costings (NPD), and customer quotations.
Maintain relationships with OEMs, tiered suppliers, financial institutions, and regulatory bodies.
Leadership
Lead and mentor the Finance & Accounts team across multiple locations.
Build a culture of financial discipline, transparency, and continuous improvement.
Contribute as a core member of the Executive Leadership Team.
Qualifications & Experience
CA / CMA / MBA Finance or equivalent professional qualification.
20+ years of total experience, with strong exposure to Automotive Tier-1 operations.
Experience in banking, finance, internal accounting, treasury, and corporate financial management is essential.
Proven track record of handling multi-plant operations and high-volume manufacturing financials.
Strong knowledge of IATF/ISO systems, costing practices, and OEM reporting requirements.
Preferred Profile
Age: 45–50 years.
Prior experience as Head Finance /GM Finance/VP Finance /CFO in an automotive or engineering manufacturing company preferred.
Strong communication, stakeholder management, and leadership capabilities.
Ability to handle high-pressure environments and strategic decision-making.
