Position: Production Manager
Location: Erattupetta, Kerala
Shift Timing: Night Shift – 5:30 PM to 9:30 AM
Job Summary
The Production Manager is responsible for planning, supervising, and managing all production activities during the night shift to ensure that production targets are achieved while maintaining quality, safety, and operational efficiency. The role includes overseeing production staff, monitoring machinery, ensuring compliance with company policies, and coordinating with other departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and supervise daily production activities.
- Ensure production targets are achieved within the scheduled time.
- Monitor product quality and ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Supervise production workers and allocate duties efficiently.
- Maintain discipline, safety, and hygiene on the production floor.
- Monitor machine performance and coordinate maintenance when required.
- Ensure optimal utilization of manpower, materials, and equipment.
- Maintain daily production reports and shift records.
- Minimize production downtime and material wastage.
- Coordinate with the Quality Control, Stores, and Maintenance departments.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and statutory safety regulations.
- Train and guide production staff to improve productivity and efficiency.
Educational Qualification
- Plus Two (Higher Secondary) or above.
- Diploma or Degree in Food Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Production, or a related field will be an added advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience in a manufacturing or food production environment is preferred.
- Fresh candidates with strong leadership skills may also be considered.
Skills Required
- Leadership and team management skills.
- Good communication skills.
- Basic computer knowledge (MS Excel, MS Word, production reporting).
- Problem-solving and decision-making ability.
- Ability to work independently during the night shift.
- Knowledge of production planning and inventory control.
- Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards is preferred.
Working Hours
- Night Shift: 5:30 PM to 9:30 AM
- Weekly off as per company policy.
Salary
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications, experience, and performance.
Pay: From ₹25,000.00 per month
