About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Cost Accountant to manage product and production costing, cost analysis, budgeting, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate should have strong analytical skills and relevant experience in costing, management accounting, or a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, maintain, and analyse product and production costs.
- Conduct production, capacity, and operational efficiency analysis.
- Support the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.
- Perform cost centre analysis and profitability analysis.
- Monitor actual costs against budgets and identify significant cost variances.
- Analyse market trends, material costs, and pricing factors to support pricing decisions.
- Prepare accurate MIS reports and management reports for decision-making.
- Monitor cost control measures and identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.
- Analyse material, labour, overhead, and other production costs.
- Support management in evaluating costing and profitability of products.
- Coordinate with production, procurement, and finance teams to ensure accurate cost data.
- Provide finance, accounting, and compliance support as required.
- Maintain proper documentation and ensure accuracy of costing records and financial data.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in costing, cost analysis, management accounting, financial analysis, or a manufacturing environment.
- CA Inter, CMA Inter, MBA Finance, or an equivalent professional qualification will be an added advantage.
- Strong understanding of cost accounting and financial analysis.
- Good analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting/ERP software.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Experience in a manufacturing or production environment is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of product costing, production costing, budgeting, and variance analysis.
- Ability to interpret financial and operational data and provide meaningful insights.
- Strong focus on cost control, profitability, and process improvement.
- Ability to work independently as well as coordinate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Pay: ₹26,878.72 - ₹36,989.73 per month
