Job Title: Associate Gynaecologist

Job Summary
The Associate Gynaecologist will be responsible for providing comprehensive medical care to women, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of pregnancy, childbirth, and reproductive health issues. The role involves working closely with the obstetrics, pediatric, and nursing teams to ensure high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Patient Care
- Examine and diagnose patients with gynecological and obstetric conditions.
- Provide antenatal, postnatal, and gynecological consultations.
- Manage normal and high-risk pregnancies under supervision or as per hospital protocol.
- Perform routine gynecological procedures and assist in surgeries when required.
- Delivery & Obstetric Care
- Manage normal deliveries and assist in cesarean sections.
- Monitor labor progress and ensure safe delivery practices.
- Provide emergency obstetric care when required.
- Clinical Procedures
- Conduct routine gynecological examinations and diagnostic procedures.
- Assist in or perform procedures such as D&C, hysteroscopy, laparoscopy (as per qualification and hospital policy).
- Patient Counseling
- Educate patients regarding pregnancy care, family planning, reproductive health, and preventive care.
- Provide counseling on contraception, infertility, and menstrual disorders.
- Medical Documentation
- Maintain accurate patient records and medical documentation.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, medical protocols, and legal regulations.
- Team Coordination
- Work closely with pediatricians, anesthetists, nurses, and other healthcare staff.
- Participate in clinical meetings and case discussions.
- Quality & Safety
- Follow infection control and patient safety protocols.
- Ensure quality standards as per hospital guidelines and accreditation requirements.
Qualifications
- BAMS/BHNS/MBBS with MS / DGO / DNB in Obstetrics & Gynaecology
- Valid Medical Council Registration
Experience
- 1–5 years of experience in Obstetrics & Gynaecology (preferred in a Mother & Child Care Hospital)
Skills Required
- Strong clinical and diagnostic skills
- Ability to handle obstetric emergencies
- Good communication and patient counseling skills
- Teamwork and coordination with multidisciplinary teams
Working Conditions
- Rotational duties including emergency calls
- May require night shifts and weekend duties as per hospital schedule
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: From ₹100,000.00 per month
