Job Summary
SkillsBee Academy is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Student Counselor Trainee to join our team. This role is ideal for freshers who are interested in student counseling, communication, education, and career guidance.
The trainee will receive practical training in student communication, course counseling, lead management, follow-ups, and the admission process. Based on performance during the training period, the candidate may be considered for a permanent Student Counselor / Academic Counselor position.
Key Responsibilities
- Communicate with prospective students through phone calls, WhatsApp, and other communication channels.
- Understand students' educational backgrounds, career interests, and learning requirements.
- Provide basic information about courses, programs, fees, and career opportunities.
- Assist senior counselors in counseling students and handling admission-related queries.
- Follow up with prospective students and maintain regular communication.
- Update lead details, follow-up status, and student information in the CRM/system.
- Support the team in achieving admission and conversion targets.
- Coordinate with the academic team for student onboarding and related activities.
- Maintain professional and positive communication with students and parents.
- Learn and follow the organization's counseling and admission procedures.
- Prepare basic reports on leads, follow-ups, and conversions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification.
- Freshers are encouraged to apply.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good Malayalam and English communication skills.
- Confident and comfortable speaking with students over the phone.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Strong follow-up and relationship-building skills.
- Basic knowledge of MS Office / Google Workspace.
- Ability to work in a target-oriented environment.
Training & Career Growth
- Structured on-the-job training will be provided.
- Candidates will receive practical exposure to student counseling, lead management, admissions, and communication.
- Performance will be evaluated during the training period.
- Successful candidates may be offered a permanent position based on performance and organizational requirements.
