Job Summary
The Pre-Primary Teacher is responsible for nurturing and educating young children (ages 2.5–6 years) by creating a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment that supports their social, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities
- Teach basic concepts such as alphabets, numbers, colors, shapes, and rhymes
- Foster social skills, discipline, and positive behavior
- Encourage creativity through art, music, storytelling, and play
- Monitor and assess each child’s development and progress
- Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating classroom environment
- Communicate regularly with parents about children’s progress and needs
- Support children’s emotional well-being and confidence
- Participate in school events, meetings, and training programs
- Follow school policies and early childhood education guidelines
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE) / NTT / D.Ed / Montessori Training
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience (freshers may apply where applicable)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, creativity, and a nurturing attitude
Skills & Competencies
- Child-centered teaching approach
- Classroom management skills
- Observation and assessment skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with staff and parents
- Basic knowledge of child psychology
