Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer with expertise in designing food and agriculture machinery, sheet metal, and component assembly. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and developing innovative mechanical solutions to enhance product performance and reliability. The role requires proficiency in CAD software, material selection, and manufacturing processes to create high-quality designs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop food and agriculture machinery, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Create detailed sheet metal and component assembly designs, ensuring manufacturability and cost-effectiveness.
- Utilize CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar) for 3D modeling and 2D drafting.
- Perform engineering calculations and analysis to ensure structural integrity and performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, procurement, and quality assurance.
- Develop prototypes and oversee testing to validate design functionality and durability.
- Prepare detailed technical documentation, including BOMs, assembly drawings, and user manuals.
- Evaluate and improve existing designs to enhance performance and reduce production costs.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in mechanical design and manufacturing techniques.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in designing food and agriculture machinery, sheet metal, and component assembly.
- Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Inventor, or similar).
- Strong knowledge of materials, fabrication methods, and mechanical components.
- Experience with GD&T, FEA, and other engineering analysis tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with regulatory standards related to food and agricultural machinery.
- Knowledge of automation and control systems.
- Hands-on experience with prototyping and testing processes.
