Purchase Assistant / Purchase Executive – Supermarket / FMCG
We are looking for an experienced and energetic Purchase Assistant / Purchase Executive for our growing supermarket operations. Candidates with experience in FMCG purchasing and supermarket inventory management are preferred.
Job Responsibilities:
- FMCG product ordering and stock planning
- Coordinating with distributors and suppliers
- ERP-based order placing and purchase entry
- Monitoring receiving and stock reconciliation
- Handling damage/expiry returns and claim follow-up
- Margin negotiation and price bargaining with suppliers
- Ensuring product availability and fast-moving stock management
- Coordinating with store operations team for stock requirements
- Maintaining proper purchase records and reports
Requirements:
- Experience in supermarket / hypermarket / FMCG purchase department
- Knowledge in ERP billing or inventory systems
- Good communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to manage distributor relationships
- Knowledge of margins, schemes, and stock movement
- Basic Excel and reporting knowledge preferred
Preferred Candidate:
- Minimum 1–3 years experience in supermarket purchasing
- Immediate joiners preferred
- Strong coordination and follow-up skills
