We are looking for a skilled and creative VFX Lighting Artist to join our team. If you have a strong eye for lighting, mood, realism, and cinematic quality, we’d love to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
- Create high-quality lighting setups for VFX shots and sequences
- Ensure lighting matches the mood, atmosphere, and visual style of the project
- Work closely with compositing, look development, FX, and CG teams to achieve the desired output
- Balance realism and artistic direction in each shot
- Optimize scenes for render quality and efficiency
- Match CG lighting with live-action plates when required
- Troubleshoot lighting, rendering, and scene-related issues
- Maintain consistency in lighting across shots and sequences
- Follow project briefs, references, and deadlines effectively
Requirements:
- 3–4 years of experience as a Lighting Artist in VFX / Animation / CGI production
- Strong understanding of lighting principles, color theory, composition, and rendering
- Experience in creating both realistic and stylized lighting
- Good knowledge of shadows, reflections, materials, and render passes
- Ability to interpret references and deliver visually strong results
- Strong attention to detail and shot continuity
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced production environment
Software Skills:
- Proficiency in Maya / Houdini / Blender / Katana (as applicable)
- Experience with render engines such as Arnold, V-Ray, Redshift, Renderman, or similar
- Basic understanding of Nuke / compositing workflows is a plus
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working on films, commercials, or cinematic projects
- Good problem-solving and scene optimization skills
- Understanding of pipeline workflows and production processes
