The Senior Captain is responsible for supervising and coordinating the daily operations of the Food & Beverage Service department, ensuring excellent guest service, smooth restaurant operations, and effective team management. The role involves leading service staff, maintaining service standards, and ensuring guest satisfaction at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of F&B service staff during shifts.
- Ensure guests receive prompt, courteous, and professional service.
- Handle guest queries, feedback, and complaints effectively.
- Monitor table setup, cleanliness, and overall restaurant ambiance.
- Train and guide captains, stewards, and trainees on service standards.
- Assist in preparing duty rosters and shift schedules.
- Ensure adherence to hygiene, safety, and grooming standards.
- Coordinate with the kitchen team for smooth order execution.
- Monitor stock levels of service equipment and report shortages.
- Maintain proper billing and cash handling procedures when required.
- Support management in achieving departmental sales and service targets.
- Ensure compliance with hotel policies and operational procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma / Degree in Hotel Management or relevant field.
- Minimum 4–6 years of experience in F&B Service operations.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Good knowledge of food and beverage service standards.
- Ability to handle guest relations professionally.
- Basic computer knowledge and POS handling skills.
