Job Summary
We are looking for a qualified and dedicated X-Ray Technician to join our diagnostic team. The candidate will be responsible for performing X-ray procedures with accuracy while ensuring patient safety and maintaining high-quality imaging standards. The role requires travelling between different diagnostic centre locations as per operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform X-ray investigations as prescribed by referring doctors.
- Position patients correctly and operate X-ray equipment safely and efficiently.
- Ensure radiation safety protocols are followed at all times.
- Maintain high-quality diagnostic images with minimal repeat exposures.
- Prepare and maintain patient records and imaging documentation.
- Generate and upload reports in the designated reporting software.
- Write or assist in preparing X-ray reports where required.
- Use reporting software efficiently, including keyboard shortcuts and short keys, to improve reporting speed and accuracy.
- Ensure proper maintenance and cleanliness of X-ray equipment and work area.
- Coordinate with doctors, reception staff, and other healthcare professionals for smooth patient flow.
- Report equipment malfunctions or technical issues immediately.
Travel Requirement
- Willingness to travel between different NDC Diagnostic Centre locations as per duty roster.
- Transportation for official travel will be arranged by the company.
Eligibility
- Diploma or Degree in Radiography / Medical Imaging Technology from a recognized institution.
- Valid registration with the applicable regulatory authority (if required).
- Minimum experience in diagnostic centres or hospitals preferred.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of X-ray positioning techniques and imaging protocols.
- Ability to write and prepare X-ray reports.
- Good computer proficiency with knowledge of reporting software and keyboard shortcuts (short keys).
- Understanding of radiation safety standards.
- Good communication and patient-handling skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as within a team.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Location Preference
- Candidates should be residing in or around Thane to facilitate travel between centres.
