The BCN comprises of Consulting Services, Knowledge Services and Shared Services.
Who you will work with
BCN PEG CoE provides specialized support to global teams across the private equity value chain, enabling clients to make key investment decisions. Our expertise lies in addressing critical diligence questions through a range of products such as survey analytics, digital diagnostic, workforce analytics and disruption assessment. Our teams work in a fast-paced environment delivering consistent and impactful results at scale. In the last decade, we have witnessed an exponential growth, reaching >250 members today from ~10 members in 2013. We operate from 4 locations - 2 in India, 1 in Poland, and 1 in Mexico and operate across all 3 regions (EMEA, Americas and APAC). We work across industries, including Technology, Consumer Products, Retail and Healthcare. BCN PEG provides an opportunity to solve challenging business problems in a dynamic set-up working closely with global Bain teams, acting as a thought-partner and bringing deep technical expertise.
What you’ll do
- As an Associate (Tech) at BCN PEG, you will bring specialized technical knowledge to product development of internal tools as well as help in end client delivery of cases
- Write clean, reusable, testable, and efficient code to develop scalable, flexible, user-friendly applications across a robust technology stack including the use of AI and LLMs
- Design, build, and maintain AI-powered applications using LLMs (especially OpenAI Models) and related technologies
- Implement python-based API integrations with LLM platforms to enable use cases such as summarization, classification, extraction, reasoning, and workflow automation
- Evaluate potential technologies for adoption, including new frameworks, libraries, and tools
- Support the supervisor in work-planning and brainstorming projects
- Understand client needs and situations and adapt to case expectations. Show ability to resolve complex problems by applying the relevant analytical/technical tools
- Contribute actively to internal meetings and stakeholder discussions
- Effectively structure communication of insights from own work stream. Deliver clear and professional presentations to the team/team leaders/managers
- Seek appropriate coaching and guidance from supervisors and proactively drive self-learning for own professional development
- Support team culture through collaboration, ownership, and role-model behavior
- Leverage opportunities to provide training, coaching and mentoring to fellow team members
- Contribute to knowledge sharing, documentation, and internal training within the PEG and broader BCN community
About you
Must-have skills:
- Strong programming skills in Python and its Frameworks (Fast API/Flask), Proven experience in enterprise service layer delivery.
- Core data processing & analytics skills via Python (Pandas, NumPy, Xlsxwriter)
- Hands-on experience working with LLM APIs (e.g., OpenAI’s Responses API) including prompt design, response handling and Vector Embedding in respective DB.
- Familiarity with REST APIs and integrating external services along with some ORM (Object Relational Mapper) libraries.
- Familiarity with modern development tools like Git, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines
- Good understanding of relational and non-relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis)
- Writing reusable, testable, and efficient code
- Understanding of front-end and back-end architecture and design principles
- Sound SDLC skills, preferably with experience in an agile environment
- Quick learner, willing to get into the details; good at thriving in a fast-paced environment and able to work independently
- Excellent English communication skills, with the ability to effectively interface across cross-functional teams

Good-to-have skills:
- Familiarity with modern front-end technologies such as Angular, React and HTMX
- Basic knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and associated components such as EC2, Lambda and S3 for AWS
- Basic understanding of machine learning concepts and NLP
- Basic understanding of Web Services protocols such as SOAP and GRAPHQL design for extensibility and portability
Educational qualification & Professional experience
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science engineering or related field
- Strong academic credentials, analytical ability and leadership skills
- Work experience range in case highest qualification is undergraduate studies- 2-5 years of experience in backend-software development preferably with 1 year of exposure to business research and consulting preferred
- Work experience range in case highest qualification is postgraduate studies- 0-3 years of experience in backend-software development preferably with 1 year of exposure to business research and consulting preferred
