Core Responsibilities
Plant Operations: Manage day-to-day operations of treatment units, including pumps, agitators, clarifiers, and filtration systems.
Water Quality Monitoring: Test water samples for parameters like pH, TDS, COD, BOD, and temperature to ensure regulatory compliance.
Process Optimization: Adjust chemical dosing (coagulants, flocculants) based on wastewater characteristics and daily flow rates.
Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Perform routine preventive maintenance and resolve minor electromechanical malfunctions to avoid plant downtime.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate daily logs regarding chemical consumption, treated water volumes, and equipment run-times.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education: A diploma in Environmental, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering, or an ITI certification in relevant trades.
Experience: Typically, 1 to 5 years of hands-on experience in wastewater treatment operations (ETP, STP, or RO).
