Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled Chip Level Laptop Technician to join our IT services team in Konni, Pathanamthitta. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in diagnosing and repairing laptop motherboards at the chip level, along with expertise in troubleshooting hardware and software issues across various laptop brands.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair laptop motherboards at the chip level.
- Troubleshoot hardware issues related to power, charging, display, keyboard, RAM, SSD/HDD, and other components.
- Repair and replace faulty ICs, charging ports, connectors, and other motherboard components.
- Perform BIOS programming, firmware updates, and motherboard troubleshooting.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows operating systems and device drivers.
- Perform preventive maintenance and cleaning of laptops and desktops.
- Recover customer data whenever possible and ensure data confidentiality.
- Maintain accurate service records and repair documentation.
- Provide technical support and communicate repair status to customers.
Requirements
- Diploma, ITI, or Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Computer Hardware, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in chip-level laptop repair and motherboard troubleshooting.
- Freshers with strong chip-level repair training may also apply.
Required Skills
- Hands-on experience with SMD soldering and desoldering.
- Knowledge of motherboard circuit diagnosis and repair.
- Experience using multimeters, hot air rework stations, soldering stations, and BIOS programmers.
- Familiarity with laptops from brands such as HP, Dell, Lenovo, Acer, ASUS, and Apple (preferred).
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Basic knowledge of networking and software installation.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
Preferred Candidate
- Candidates residing in or willing to relocate to Konni, Pathanamthitta.
- Immediate joiners are preferred.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹35,326.74 per month
