Role Overview
The Distribution Marketing Manager (Business Development Manager) will be responsible for expanding Wudly's dealer and distributor network across assigned territories while ensuring sustainable sales growth. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in channel sales, distributor development, market expansion, customer relationship management, and business development within FMCG, Toys, Consumer Goods, Educational Products, or related industries.
This role requires frequent travel to identify new business opportunities, appoint distributors, develop retail channels, and ensure strong market penetration.
Key Responsibilities
Distribution Network Development
- Identify and appoint new distributors, dealers, wholesalers, and channel partners.
- Expand Wudly's distribution network across assigned regions.
- Develop strategies to increase market coverage and business reach.
- Conduct market surveys to identify high-potential business opportunities.
Business Development
- Generate new business through distributors and institutional partners.
- Build long-term relationships with distributors and key customers.
- Meet monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Develop business expansion plans for new territories.
Channel Sales Management
- Drive primary and secondary sales through distributors.
- Monitor distributor performance and productivity.
- Ensure healthy inventory levels and stock movement.
- Coordinate with distributors for order planning and timely deliveries.
Market Expansion
- Identify untapped markets and business opportunities.
- Increase retailer coverage through distributor channels.
- Develop territory-wise business growth strategies.
- Conduct competitor analysis and market intelligence activities.
Relationship Management
- Maintain excellent relationships with distributors and retailers.
- Resolve distributor concerns and ensure high customer satisfaction.
- Conduct regular distributor meetings and business reviews.
- Support distributors in achieving sales objectives.
Marketing & Promotional Activities
- Execute trade marketing initiatives.
- Coordinate product launches and promotional campaigns.
- Participate in exhibitions, trade fairs, dealer meets, and industry events.
- Increase brand visibility across assigned territories.
Sales Planning & Reporting
- Prepare sales forecasts and business plans.
- Maintain daily sales reports and distributor visit reports.
- Analyze market trends and provide business insights to management.
- Track KPIs and recommend improvement strategies.

Educational Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Commerce, or related field.
- MBA (Marketing/Sales) will be preferred.
Experience
- 4–8 years of experience in Distribution Sales, Channel Sales, or Business Development.
- Experience in Toys, FMCG, Consumer Durables, Educational Products, Stationery, or related industries will be preferred.
- Proven experience in appointing distributors and expanding market presence.
