Working Hours: India Time – 6:30 PM to 3:30 AM IST
Compensation: ₹40,000–₹60,000 per month (Negotiable based on experience) + Performance-Based Quarterly Incentives.
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Civil Litigation Legal Professional with strong knowledge of U.S. civil litigation, particularly Illinois law and legal procedures. The ideal candidate should be familiar with the Illinois Compiled Statutes (ILCS), Illinois court rules, legal terminology, and complex civil litigation procedures.
The candidate will support civil litigation matters by conducting legal research, reviewing case documents, assisting with pleadings and motions, and helping manage litigation-related tasks in accordance with applicable Illinois laws and court procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct legal research involving Illinois Compiled Statutes (ILCS), Illinois case law, and applicable court rules.
- Review and analyze legal documents, pleadings, motions, discovery materials, and case files.
- Assist with drafting and preparing litigation documents, correspondence, motions, and other legal materials.
- Support attorneys with case preparation, discovery, deadlines, and litigation strategy.
- Ensure legal documents and filings comply with applicable Illinois court rules and procedures.
- Organize and maintain case records, evidence, and litigation-related documentation.
- Perform detailed legal and factual research for complex civil litigation matters.
- Communicate professionally with attorneys, clients, courts, and other legal professionals as required.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in U.S. civil litigation, preferably involving Illinois law.
- Strong understanding of Illinois Compiled Statutes (ILCS) and Illinois court rules.
- Familiarity with complex civil litigation procedures, legal terminology, pleadings, motions, discovery, and court filings.
- Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Ability to independently review and interpret legal documents and case information.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple litigation matters and deadlines.
- Experience working with U.S.-based law firms or attorneys is preferred.
Preferred Experience
- Experience supporting Illinois civil litigation attorneys or law firms.
- Familiarity with Illinois state and local court procedures.
- Experience with legal research databases and case management systems.
- Knowledge of e-filing procedures and litigation support workflows.
Note: This is a remote position suitable for an experienced legal professional with demonstrated knowledge of U.S. civil litigation and Illinois law.
Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
