Job Summary
The Fabric Cutting Quality In-Charge is responsible for ensuring quality standards are maintained from the fabric cutting stage through the initial production process. The role involves monitoring cutting quality, verifying measurements, conducting pre-production quality checks, coordinating PP meetings, and ensuring that all materials and sewing parameters meet the approved specifications before bulk production.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor in-house production quality from the cutting stage through packing to ensure compliance with company quality standards.
Conduct Pre-Production (PP) meetings with approved samples, trims, and relevant production teams before bulk production.
Prepare and submit inline production quality reports to the Quality Manager.
Verify fabric length, width, height, marker, and lay program before the cutting process begins.
Inspect cut panels for accurate measurements, shape, grain line, and overall cutting quality before they are sent for stitching.
Ensure fabric shade consistency and verify that sewing thread shade matches the approved fabric.
Check sewing parameters including stitch count, stitch strength, seam quality, SPI (Stitches Per Inch), and other quality requirements across all production lines.
Identify quality issues during cutting and coordinate with the Cutting, Production, and Quality teams for immediate corrective actions.
Ensure all production orders (POs) meet customer specifications and approved quality standards.
Maintain inspection records, quality reports, and documentation for audit and traceability.
Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce cutting defects, fabric wastage, and quality rejections.
Required Qualifications
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Textile, Garment Technology, Fashion Technology, or a related field.
Relevant experience in garment manufacturing quality or fabric cutting quality.
Required Skills
Strong knowledge of garment manufacturing and fabric cutting processes.
Good understanding of garment measurements, pattern checking, and quality standards.
Ability to identify fabric, cutting, and stitching defects.
Knowledge of sewing quality parameters and garment construction.
Good communication and reporting skills.
Proficiency in maintaining quality documentation and inspection reports.
Ability to work with production teams to resolve quality issues promptly.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
