Job Summary
Vastucraft Architect & Construction is looking for a creative, technically strong, and responsible Architect to join our design team. The candidate will be involved in architectural planning, concept development, working drawings, client coordination, statutory approval drawings, and execution support for residential, commercial, institutional, and mixed-use projects.
The ideal candidate should be capable of independently developing architectural designs from concept stage to Good for Construction drawings and coordinating effectively with structural, MEP, interior, and site teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop architectural concepts, space planning, layouts, elevations, and building designs.
- Prepare detailed architectural drawings, working drawings, and Good for Construction drawings.
- Prepare floor plans, sections, elevations, toilet details, staircase details, door-window schedules, and other construction details.
- Develop residential, commercial, institutional, and mixed-use building designs.
- Coordinate architectural drawings with structural, electrical, plumbing, fire-fighting, HVAC, and other services.
- Prepare drawings and documentation required for BDA/BMC/Development Authority and other statutory approvals.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable building bye-laws, NBC provisions, fire norms, and local development regulations.
- Attend client meetings, understand project requirements, and present suitable design solutions.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, vendors, and site engineers.
- Conduct site visits to verify architectural execution and resolve site-related design issues.
- Review shop drawings, material selections, finishes, and architectural details.
- Prepare design presentations, mood boards, 3D views, and presentation drawings where required.
- Manage revisions and maintain proper drawing/document control.
- Support project estimation, BOQ preparation, and material specifications where required.
- Ensure projects are delivered within agreed timelines and design standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) from a recognized institution.
- Valid registration with the Council of Architecture will be preferred.
- Minimum 2–5 years of relevant professional experience.
- Strong knowledge of architectural planning, detailing, and construction practices.
- Good understanding of building bye-laws and statutory approval processes.
Software Skills
The candidate should preferably be proficient in:
- AutoCAD
- Revit Architecture
- SketchUp
- Lumion / Enscape
- Photoshop
- MS Office
Knowledge of 3ds Max, V-Ray, BIM workflows, Illustrator, or other visualization software will be an added advantage.
Preferred Skills
- Ability to independently handle projects from concept to execution stage.
- Strong architectural design sense and space-planning ability.
- Good understanding of residential and commercial construction.
- Experience in preparation of sanction drawings and approval documentation.
- Good presentation and client communication skills.
- Ability to coordinate with structural and MEP consultants.
- Strong attention to detail and drawing quality.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Willingness to undertake site visits as required.
