We are seeking a ABB robot operator at our Center for Robotic Laser Processing. You will be responsible for programming automated toolpaths, optimizing laser processes, and executing custom surface engineering jobs from initial inquiry to final inspection.
Key Responsibilities
- ABB Robot Programming: Develop, test, and execute robot programs for all components processed in the center.
- Operations: Operate the laser system, ABB robotic system, and associated equipment like UPS, chillers, and powder feeders on a day-to-day basis.
- Projects: Study new enquiries, drawings, and specifications to check job feasibility and prepare estimates for material and manpower consumption.
- Process Optimization: Optimise laser process parameters to ensure high-quality output for various material combinations.
- Research & Development: Prepare plans of experiments, perform development trials, conduct dry runs, and maintain complete records of all parameters and results.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct in-process and customer inspections as per the QAP, ensure quality compliance, and upload all inspection reports to Smartsheet.
- Documentation & Standardization: Ensure operation manuals and SOPs for all equipment are up to date and draft any missing SOPs under management guidance.
Qualifications & Skills
- Robotics Expertise: Proven experience with ABB robot programming, teach pendant operation, and multi-axis trajectory generation.
- Educational Background: Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical manufacturing field.
- Technical Aptitude: Strong ability to read engineering drawings, understand Quality Assurance Plans (QAP), and design work-holding solutions for precise job positioning.
- Safety & Maintenance: Capable of handling day-to-day equipment maintenance and enforcing strict laser safety protocols on the shop floor.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
