Job Summary
We are seeking a knowledgeable and proactive Agri Consultant to provide expert agricultural advice and solutions to farmers, agri-businesses, and clients. The role involves improving crop productivity, advising on modern farming techniques, soil and crop management, pest control, irrigation practices, and agricultural business development.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide agricultural consultation and technical guidance to farmers and agri-clients.
- Conduct field visits to assess crop health, soil conditions, irrigation systems, and farming practices.
- Recommend suitable seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, and crop management techniques.
- Educate farmers on sustainable and modern agricultural methods.
- Analyze farm data and prepare reports with recommendations for productivity improvement.
- Support agri-input sales and business development activities when required.
- Stay updated on government agricultural schemes, subsidies, and industry trends.
- Organize farmer meetings, training programs, and awareness sessions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with farmers, dealers, and agri-partners.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Horticulture, or related field.
- 0–5 years of experience in agricultural consulting, agri-input sales, or field advisory services.
- Strong knowledge of crops, soil science, pest management, and farming practices.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to travel for field visits and farmer interactions.
- Basic computer knowledge and reporting skills.
