About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented QA Manual Tester to join our Quality Assurance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for validating software functionality, ensuring product quality, and collaborating closely with Product, Engineering, and QA teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
The role requires strong expertise in manual testing, requirements analysis, defect management, and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria to develop comprehensive test scenarios and test cases.
- Author and maintain BDD test cases using Gherkin syntax (Given/When/Then) in Aqua as the system of record.
- Translate requirements and acceptance criteria documented in Jira into clear, testable BDD scenarios.
- Execute functional, integration, regression, smoke, and exploratory testing activities.
- Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects through resolution.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Developers, and QA team members to clarify requirements and ensure quality expectations are met.
- Validate application functionality across multiple environments and platforms.
- Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Ensure traceability between requirements, test cases, and defects.
- Support release readiness activities and provide quality sign-off recommendations.
Required Qualifications
- 12+ years of experience in Manual Software Testing.
- Strong understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and defect management processes.
- Proficiency in authoring BDD test cases using Gherkin (Given/When/Then) format.
- Hands-on experience using Aqua Test Management Platform.
- Strong experience working with Jira for requirement analysis, test planning, and defect tracking.
- Ability to read, interpret, and validate business requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Experience creating detailed test cases, test plans, and test execution reports.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Pay: ₹1,500,000.00 - ₹2,500,000.00 per year
