The TGT Hindi Teacher is responsible for teaching Hindi to students of Classes 6–10, ensuring strong language foundations, grammar understanding, and effective communication skills. The teacher should create an engaging classroom environment and support students' all-round development.
Key ResponsibilitiesTeaching & Classroom Delivery
- Teach Hindi language and literature to Classes 6–10 as per the CBSE curriculum.
- Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, worksheets, and assessments.
- Use activity-based learning, storytelling, group discussions, and creative activities.
- Ensure conceptual clarity and help students improve reading, writing, and speaking skills.
Assessment & Evaluation
- Conduct formative and summative assessments as per CBSE guidelines.
- Evaluate student performance and maintain accurate records.
- Provide constructive feedback to students and parents.
Classroom Management
- Maintain discipline and ensure a safe, positive learning environment.
- Manage classroom activities, group work, and learning resources effectively.
Student Development
- Identify learning gaps and provide remedial classes when required.
- Encourage participation in Hindi debates, competitions, poetry recitation, and cultural events.
Professional Responsibilities
- Attend parent–teacher meetings, staff meetings, and school events.
- Participate in curriculum development and teacher training programs.
- Maintain professional ethics and follow school policies.
Qualifications & SkillsEducation
- Bachelor’s Degree in Hindi (B.A. Hindi)
- B.Ed. with Hindi as a teaching subject (Mandatory)

Key ResponsibilitiesTeaching & Classroom Delivery
- Teach Hindi Core/Elective to senior secondary classes (XI–XII).
- Prepare detailed lesson plans, presentations, study notes, and reference materials.
- Develop higher-order thinking skills through literature analysis and creative writing.
- Use modern teaching tools, digital resources, and audio-visual aids.
Assessment & Academic Support
- Conduct assessments, unit tests, model exams, and board exam preparation.
- Evaluate answer scripts and provide academic counselling.
- Prepare students for competitions, debates, essay writing, and Hindi Olympiads.
Curriculum & Planning
- Contribute to curriculum planning for senior classes.
- Update teaching strategies according to CBSE guidelines and NEP-2020 requirements.
