Job description:
Role Definition
The Cutting Supervisor is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising all cutting department activities to ensure timely execution of cutting plans, optimum fabric utilization, accurate panel cutting, compliance with quality standards, and uninterrupted support to garment production.

Tasks & Activities1. Production Planning & Coordination
- Plan daily and weekly cutting schedules based on production priorities.
- Coordinate with Production, Merchandising, Fabric Store, and Transport teams for fabric availability.
- Review cutting programs and prioritize styles according to production requirements.
- Ensure approved samples, patterns, markers, and specifications are available before cutting begins.
- Monitor workflow to prevent production delays and bottlenecks.
- Allocate manpower and contractors to meet production targets.
2. Fabric Management & Preparation
- Verify received fabric quantities against invoices and delivery documents.
- Maintain complete records of all incoming fabric lots.
- Conduct fabric relaxation according to company standards.
- Perform shrinkage testing and verify results are within approved tolerance limits.
- Coordinate with the Pattern Team before cutting operations.
- Ensure accurate roll-to-roll shade matching.
- Verify rib and body fabric shade consistency.
- Resolve fabric, pattern, or shade-related issues before production.
3. Cutting Operations & Quality Control
- Execute cutting as per approved markers, cutting plans, and company procedures.
- Ensure correct lay height, fabric direction, size ratio, and quantity allocation.
- Supervise cutting operators and contractors to maximize productivity.
- Inspect fabric for holes, stains, defects, and shade variations before cutting.
- Ensure all cut panels meet company quality standards.
- Prevent cutting defects through continuous monitoring and process control.
- Ensure compliance with approved cutting methods and quality procedures.
4. Fabric Consumption & Cost Control
- Monitor fabric utilization to achieve optimum marker efficiency.
- Minimize fabric wastage during cutting operations.
- Verify actual fabric consumption against approved standards.
- Conduct random audits of fabric roll consumption.
- Investigate abnormal fabric consumption and initiate corrective actions.
- Report consumption deviations exceeding company tolerance limits.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce material loss.
5. Panel Coordination & Documentation
- Ensure timely handover of cut panels to sewing and subsequent production processes.
- Coordinate availability of trims and supporting materials required for production.
- Monitor shortages caused by GSM variation, fabric damage, or production issues and ensure timely resolution.
- Maintain accurate daily cutting production reports.
- Record balance fabric, end bits, shortages, rejects, and production deviations.
- Maintain complete documentation for traceability, audits, and production analysis.
- Ensure department housekeeping and compliance with safety standards.

- On-time completion of cutting plans.
- Fabric consumption within approved tolerance.
- Marker efficiency and fabric utilization percentage.

Required Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree (Preferred).
- Minimum 2-5 years of experience in garment cutting operations.
- Experience in knit garment manufacturing is preferred.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
