About the Role – Business Development Manager
We are looking for enthusiastic and driven Business Development Managers to support the growth of our healthcare consulting and medico-marketing business within the pharmaceutical industry.
The ideal candidates will be responsible for identifying and engaging prospective clients, generating new business opportunities, managing client interactions, and driving opportunities through the entire sales cycle—from lead generation to proposal development, negotiations, and deal closure.
This role is well-suited for professionals with 2–5 years of experience in business development, sales, client servicing, or account management within healthcare, pharmaceuticals, healthcare communications, digital health, medical education, or related industries.
The successful candidates will possess strong communication skills, a consultative mindset, and the ability to build lasting relationships with stakeholders across pharmaceutical organizations.

Roles & Responsibilities

Identify, research, and engage prospective clients within pharmaceutical, healthcare, and life sciences organizations.
- Generate qualified leads through networking, industry events, market research, referrals, digital outreach, and cold-calling initiatives.
- Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline by proactively reaching out to potential clients and nurturing opportunities.
- Regularly meet with prospective and existing clients to understand their strategic objectives, present tailored solutions, develop relationships with key stakeholders, and drive business opportunities toward successful closure.
- Understand client challenges and business objectives to position appropriate healthcare consulting and engagement solutions.
- Manage the end-to-end sales cycle, including lead generation, client meetings, proposal development, follow-ups, negotiations, and closure.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop customized solutions and proposals aligned with client requirements.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers within client organizations.
- Track sales activities, pipeline progress, and client interactions through CRM systems and regular reporting.
- Support the identification of new market opportunities, industry trends, and client needs to contribute to business growth.
- Represent the organization at industry conferences, meetings, webinars, and networking events to enhance brand visibility and generate business opportunities.
- Ensure all client engagements and business activities adhere to industry regulations and ethical standards.
- Work closely with marketing, medical, and product teams to support business development initiatives and improve service offerings.
Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Biotechnology, Medicine, Healthcare Management, or a related field.
- MBA in Sales, Marketing, Business Management, or a related discipline will be an advantage.
- 2–5 years of experience in business development, sales, client servicing, account management, or related commercial roles.
- Exposure to the pharmaceutical, healthcare, life sciences, healthcare communications, medical education, or digital health industry is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to engage confidently with stakeholders across pharmaceutical and healthcare organizations.
- Strong consultative selling and business development skills with the ability to identify client needs and propose suitable solutions.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.
- Familiarity with CRM tools, sales reporting, and pipeline management is desirable.
- Willingness to travel for client meetings, conferences, and business development activities as required.
