Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced General Manager – Plant Operations with strong hands-on experience in plywood manufacturing and a proven career progression from shop-floor operations to plant leadership. The candidate should possess in-depth knowledge of the complete plywood manufacturing process, including veneer production, glue preparation, pressing, seasoning, calibration, sanding, quality testing, dispatch, and overall factory management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end factory operations and achieve production targets.
- Manage veneer, glue, pressing, finishing, and dispatch operations.
- Ensure product quality through boiling tests, bonding strength, and moisture control.
- Monitor raw material procurement, inventory, and production planning.
- Drive cost reduction initiatives and improve production yield and machine efficiency.
- Develop preventive maintenance systems and minimize downtime.
- Ensure statutory, safety, and environmental compliance.
- Lead and develop production, quality, maintenance, stores, and dispatch teams.
- Prepare factory budgets, monitor profitability, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Preferred Profile:
Candidates should have started their careers in production, quality, laboratory, or shop-floor operations and progressed through various manufacturing roles to General Manager level within the plywood industry. Experience in greenfield projects, process improvements, and team leadership will be an added advantage.
Pay: ₹100,000.00 - ₹200,000.00 per month
