Job description
Job Title: Accountant
Key Responsibilities:
1. Cost Accounting
- Calculate raw material, labor, and production costs.
- Maintain cost records and analyze manufacturing expenses.
- Handle Purchase Orders (PO), GRN, and supplier invoice verification.
2. Inventory Management
- Maintain records of raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.
- Perform stock reconciliation and inventory audits.
- Manage inventory records in Tally Prime.
3. Production & Expense Tracking
- Track factory expenses such as electricity, maintenance, and consumables.
- Allocate costs to departments and projects.
- Monitor production-related expenses.
4. Financial Reporting
- Prepare Profit & Loss Statements, MIS reports, and financial summaries.
- Support management with cost and profitability analysis.
5. Compliance & Taxation
- Handle GST, TDS, and statutory compliance.
- Assist in audits and tax-related activities.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards.
Requirements:
- B.Com / M.Com / MBA Finance
- 1-3 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing industry
- Strong knowledge of Tally Prime, GST, Inventory Accounting, and MS Excel
- Experience in costing and inventory management preferred
