About Business Unit:
We are looking for a Lead Oracle CPQ Developer to join our Pricing team. The ideal candidate will be playing a lead role ensuring our stakeholders’ requirements are translated into actionable technical designs to be implemented and supported within the Oracle CPQ architecture. The person will work closely with our other developer(s) and pricing operations team to determine how best we can continue to scale our Oracle instance and improve the overall customer experience.
This role will provide guidance to the junior team members and will work as a liaison between technical, functional, business and system integrator teams.

Product Catalog Ownership: Ensure that the product catalog within Oracle CPQ is complete and up to date. Define product attributes and classifications that will be used in pricing rules.-
Create Pricing Lists and Rules: Define pricing lists and rules in Oracle CPQ including specifying conditions that trigger the application of pricing rules.

Technical Troubleshooting: Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues related to Oracle CPQ, such as system errors, configuration problems, and integration issues. Work with Oracle Support to address system issues.

Rule Logic and Formulas: Use Oracle CPQ's rule engine to implement pricing logic and formulas. Update configurator models and rules to support business requirement changes.

Discount Structures: Set up discount structures to determine how discounts are applied based on Epsilon’s overall pricing strategy, including discount levels and thresholds.

Ongoing Monitoring and Maintenance: Continuously monitor pricing performance and gather feedback. Make adjustments and updates to pricing rules as business objectives and product offerings change. Support Oracle CPQ quarterly updates to ensure system stability.

System Deployment – Responsible for deploying monthly code releases to the Production environment, outside of standard US working hours.

User Support - Provide timely technical support to end-users and ensure minimal downtime. Collaborate with teams to implement patches, upgrades, and configurations.

Optimization - Assist in database performance optimization and query tuning. Identify and recommend process improvements for Oracle systems. Stay up to date with Oracle product releases and patches to determine the impact to the business.

CPQ Architecture & Strategy Ownership:
Own the end‑to‑end Oracle CPQ solution architecture, ensuring scalability, performance, and alignment with long‑term pricing, sales, and digital commerce strategies. Define and maintain CPQ technical roadmaps. -
Stakeholder & Executive Partnership:
Act as a trusted technical advisor to Pricing, Sales Operations, Finance, IT, and leadership teams. Proactively translate business strategy into CPQ capabilities and influence prioritization decisions. -
Technical Governance & Best Practices:
Establish and enforce CPQ development standards, design patterns, and coding procedures. Review and approve solution designs, rule logic, integrations, and release plans to ensure quality and consistency. -
Release & Change Management Leadership:
Lead CPQ release planning, risk assessment, and deployment strategy across environments. Own rollback plans, production readiness reviews, and post‑release validation to minimize business disruption. -
Mentorship & Team Development:
Coach, mentor, and upskill junior and mid‑level developers.

Proven experience in supporting Oracle systems and applications. Experience developing Oracle CPQ, integrations, and developing and implementing data migrations.

Comprehensive knowledge of the Oracle CPQ platform’s core features.

Experience working with Agile methodologies, as well as hands-on experience in CPQ capabilities.

Experience with BMI Configuration, Bill of Material (BOM) and Big Machines Language (BML). Translate business requirements into the CPQ system configurations.

Understanding of Oracle E-Business Suite or Cloud solutions. Experience with commerce flows within CPQ is highly desirable.

Understanding of efficient business processes within Configure, Price, Quote (CPQ) domain preferable.

Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills. Ability to analyze business processes and develop systems/programs to support and improve them.

Knowledge and experience with the following languages: Oracle Database Administration, SQL, Java or C#, JavaScript, JQuery, XML/XSL, BML is preferred.

Relevant experience with SFDC.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

Good communication and interpersonal abilities.

Certification in Oracle technologies (preferred but not mandatory).
