Job Description – Mechanical Engineer (Power Plant O&M)
Position: Mechanical Engineer
Location: Saudi Arabia
Project Duration: 2–3 Months (Shutdown Project)
Salary: SAR 3,000 + SAR 300 Food Allowance
Job Responsibilities
- Supervise and execute mechanical maintenance activities during power plant shutdowns.
- Plan, coordinate, and monitor maintenance work on gas turbines and associated mechanical equipment.
- Conduct inspection, troubleshooting, repair, alignment, and commissioning of mechanical systems.
- Review engineering drawings, maintenance procedures, and technical documentation.
- Coordinate with clients, supervisors, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely completion of shutdown activities.
- Ensure compliance with HSE regulations, quality standards, and client requirements.
- Prepare daily progress reports and maintenance documentation.
- Support troubleshooting and root cause analysis of mechanical equipment failures.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Power Plant Operation & Maintenance (O&M).
- Mandatory experience in Gas Turbine maintenance and shutdown projects.
- Experience with major gas turbine OEMs such as GE, Siemens, Mitsubishi, or Ansaldo is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of rotating equipment, pumps, compressors, valves, piping systems, and mechanical maintenance practices.
- Ability to read engineering drawings, P&IDs, and technical manuals.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
