About the Role
We are seeking an experienced GCP Data Engineer to design, develop, and optimize scalable cloud-native data platforms on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in cloud architecture, enterprise integrations, infrastructure automation, security, and large-scale distributed systems. This role requires close collaboration with business stakeholders, engineering teams, and DevOps teams to deliver secure, high-performing, and cost-effective cloud solutions.

- Experience designing and implementing cloud-native and microservices-based architectures
- Strong knowledge of Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Experience with:
- VPC Networks
- Private Service Connect (PSC)
- Cloud NAT
- Network Security and Governance
- Strong understanding of OAuth 2.0, API Security, and Identity Management solutions such as Auth0 and Okta
- Expertise in High Availability (HA), Disaster Recovery (DR), and Cloud Governance
- Experience with enterprise-scale integrations and distributed architectures
- Strong stakeholder communication and solution architecture skills
- Understanding of FinOps and cloud cost optimization strategies
Key Responsibilities
- Design and architect scalable, secure, and high-performance data platforms on Google Cloud Platform.
- Develop and optimize cloud-native solutions using BigQuery, Cloud Run, API Gateway, Cloud SQL, Firestore, and related GCP services.
- Design robust integration patterns between microservices, identity providers, and external applications/APIs.
- Define and implement security, compliance, governance, and operational standards across cloud environments.
- Architect highly available and disaster-resilient solutions to meet business continuity requirements.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and deployment using Terraform and IaC best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business stakeholders, engineering teams, DevOps, and security teams.
- Monitor, optimize, and manage cloud infrastructure costs while maintaining performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Provide technical leadership and recommendations for cloud modernization and transformation initiatives.
- Support enterprise migration and integration projects leveraging GCP best practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Google Professional Cloud Architect (PCA) Certification
- Experience in legacy-to-cloud migration programs
- Exposure to enterprise modernization and digital transformation initiatives
- Experience implementing FinOps frameworks and cloud cost optimization strategies
- Knowledge of cloud governance and security best practices
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
