Qualifications
- Graduate in any discipline (Hotel Management/Food & Beverage Management preferred).
- 2–5 years of experience in hostel, school, college, canteen, or catering operations.
- Basic knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and inventory management.
- Good communication and team management skills.
- Basic computer knowledge (MS Excel, Word, and email).
- Ability to maintain records and prepare reports.
Job Description (Mess Incharge)
Position: Mess Incharge
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise the daily operations of the mess/canteen.
- Ensure timely preparation and serving of nutritious and hygienic meals.
- Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and food safety standards in the kitchen and dining areas.
- Monitor food quality, quantity, and taste as per approved menus.
- Manage mess staff, including cooks, helpers, and housekeeping personnel.
- Maintain stock records of food items, groceries, and kitchen supplies.
- Coordinate procurement and ensure proper storage of materials.
- Monitor wastage and implement cost-control measures.
- Handle complaints and feedback related to food and mess services.
- Maintain attendance, duty rosters, and performance records of mess staff.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and school/hostel regulations.
- Prepare periodic reports on inventory, consumption, and expenses.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
