About the Role
Indian Wedding Planners (IWP) is looking for an experienced and highly organized Finance Controller to lead and manage the complete Finance & Accounts function of the organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing accounting operations, billing, financial reporting, compliance, budgeting, expense management, banking activities, audits, and financial controls while ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Financial Operations:
- Manage the complete Accounts & Finance function of the organization.
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations and bookkeeping.
- Ensure accurate maintenance of ledgers, journals, cash books, and financial records.
- Finalize monthly, quarterly, and annual accounts.
- Monitor and reconcile bank accounts, vendor accounts, and customer accounts.
- Maintain proper financial documentation and record keeping.
Billing, Payments & Expense Management:
- Oversee billing, invoicing, collections, and payment processes.
- Verify and approve vendor payments, reimbursements, and expense claims.
- Monitor company expenses and ensure proper allocation and recording.
- Track outstanding receivables and payables.
- Ensure timely settlement of vendor accounts and financial obligations.
Financial Reporting & MIS:
- Prepare and present monthly MIS reports.
- Generate Profit & Loss Statements, Balance Sheets, and Cash Flow Statements.
- Monitor profitability, project-wise costs, and operational expenses.
- Provide financial analysis and recommendations to management for decision-making.
- Prepare periodic financial summaries and performance reports.
Budgeting & Financial Planning:
- Prepare annual budgets and financial forecasts.
- Monitor budget utilization and conduct variance analysis.
- Track financial performance against budgets and targets.
- Identify opportunities for cost optimization and financial efficiency.
Compliance & Taxation:
- Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, Income Tax, and other statutory regulations.
- Coordinate and manage GST filings, TDS returns, and statutory payments.
- Maintain compliance records and documentation.
- Liaise with consultants, auditors, and government authorities when required.
Audit & Internal Controls:
- Ensure readiness of financial records for audits.
- Develop and maintain internal financial controls and processes.
- Monitor financial risks and recommend corrective actions where necessary.
Banking & Treasury Management:
- Manage banking relationships and financial transactions.
- Monitor company cash flow and fund requirements.
- Handle banking documentation, reconciliations, and financial correspondence.
- Ensure effective management of working capital and liquidity.
Task Management:
- Ensure timely completion of finance-related tasks and reporting requirements.
Qualifications
- Chartered Accountant (CA) preferred.
- MBA Finance, CMA, M.Com, or equivalent qualification may also be considered based on experience.
Experience
- 10–15+ years of experience in Finance, Accounts, Audit, or Financial Management.
- Experience handling end-to-end accounting, compliance, reporting, and financial controls.
- Prior experience in a Finance Controller, Finance Manager, Accounts Head, or similar leadership role preferred.

Compensation

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
