Job Responsibilities -
This job provides opportunity to candidates to train with Air India and build a career in Flight Dispatch. During the training period, the trainee dispatcher will undergo Classroom training and OJT. On the job the trainee will be assisting Flight Dispatch in following ways -
- To monitor all Air India Flights, which include, schdule, non-schedule ad-hoc/charter routes for compliance, flight monitoring and use of dedicated communications system (voice or electronic) to provide critical assistance to the flight crew in the event of an in-flight emergency or security issue, or upon request from the flight crew.
- Communication of all available and relevant safety information to the flight crew.
- Liaise with Air Traffic Control Authorities, AOCC / JCC [as applicable] and IOCC for expediting operational support and organizational support whenever necessary to accomplish a mission safely and efficiently.
- To update Duty Manager Flight Dispatch / MOC with operational impact due to weather forecasts, severe weather systems, and Volcanic Ash Advisories, affecting routes and airports, so as to alert internal stakeholders and recovery plans if necessary.
- Notifying the appropriate ATS unit when the position of the aircraft cannot be determined by an aircraft tracking capability [SITA Mission Watch], and attempts to establish communication are unsuccessful.
- Any other duties as assigned by the Duty Manager Flight Dispatch.
Pre-requisite -
- A Trainee Flight Dispatcher should have attained the age of 21 years before the initial approval.
- An applicant as Trainee Flight Dispatcher shall have passed class 10+2 or an equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics from a recognized Board/University and Graduate from a recognized university would be given preference.
