Job description:
We are looking for a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our engineering team in Vashi, Navi Mumbai. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in mechanical design, with hands-on experience in AutoCAD and SolidWorks. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and detailing mechanical components and assemblies, contributing to innovative engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
· Create detailed 2D drawings and 3D models using AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
· Develop mechanical designs for new products and systems based on project specifications.
· Modify and revise existing designs to improve functionality or to comply with changes in requirements.
· Work closely with production, quality, and project teams to ensure design feasibility and accuracy.
· Prepare BOMs (Bill of Materials), technical documentation, and reports.
· Participate in design reviews and suggest improvements.
· Ensure all designs adhere to industry standards and safety regulations.
Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
· 2+ years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in a manufacturing or engineering setup.
· Proficient in AutoCAD and SolidWorks (mandatory).
· Strong understanding of engineering drawings, GD&T, and material selection.
· Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Experience in sheet metal, fabrication, or automation-related projects.
· Exposure to product development life cycle.
· Familiarity with PDM systems is a plus.
