Key Responsibilities
- Site Management: Monitor daily site activities to ensure compliance with project plans, drawings, and specifications.
- Safety Enforcement: Ensure all workers and subcontractors follow safety protocols, using proper protective equipment (PPE) to reduce hazards.
- Subcontractor/Labor Management: Supervise and coordinate workers, scheduling tasks to meet deadlines.
- Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections of materials and workmanship to ensure adherence to standards and detect issues.
- Reporting: Document daily progress, material usage, and labor hours, reporting findings to site engineers or project managers.
- Material Coordination: Manage on-site logistics, including the receipt, storage, and movement of materials to prevent waste. Betterteam +7
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Experience: Generally 3–5 years in a construction role, with proven experience as a supervisor or in a similar capacity.
- Technical Knowledge: Understanding of building methods, construction technology, and construction regulations/safety legislation.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to manage diverse teams, subcontractors, and clients.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to resolve on-site issues and handle emergencies promptly.
- Technical Literacy: Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical drawings, as well as basic computer skills for reporting.
- Education: A diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is often preferred, though not always required. Indeed +4
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Requires walking, standing, and moving around construction sites for extended periods.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
