Role Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented QA Engineer with a minimum of 1 year of hands-on software testing experience. The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, experience with MySQL and Microsoft SQL Server, and basic automation testing knowledge. Insurance domain experience or exposure is preferred. The candidate should be capable of understanding complex business workflows and ensuring high-quality software deliveries.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze business requirements and functional specifications to prepare test scenarios and test cases.
- Execute functional, regression, integration, system, smoke, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Identify, document, track, and verify software defects throughout the defect lifecycle.
- Validate complex business workflows and ensure end-to-end application quality.
- Perform database validation using MySQL and Microsoft SQL Server.
- Collaborate with Business Analysts, Developers, and Product Owners to understand requirements and resolve issues.
- Participate in requirement review meetings and provide QA feedback.
- Assist in automation testing by creating or maintaining test scripts.
- Prepare test execution reports, defect reports, and daily/weekly status reports.
- Follow QA standards, processes, and best practices.
Required Skills
- Minimum 1 year of Software QA experience (Mandatory).
- Strong analytical and logical thinking skills.
- Hands-on experience with MySQL and Microsoft SQL Server.
- Good understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Experience using Jira for defect tracking and test management.
- Basic knowledge of Selenium and Playwright.
- Ability to understand and test complex business workflows.
- Strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
Preferred Skills
- Insurance domain experience or exposure.
- API testing using Postman.
- Basic understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Familiarity with Git is an added advantage.
- Business Analyst (BA) experience will be considered an added advantage.
Qualification
- B.E. / B.Tech. / B.Sc. / BCA / MCA or equivalent.
- Minimum 1 year of Software QA experience.
- Insurance domain exposure is preferred.
Pay: From ₹400,000.00 per year
