Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced and knowledgeable E/M Trainer to educate and guide healthcare providers, coders, and clinical staff on accurate Evaluation & Management (E/M) coding and documentation practices. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in CMS guidelines, medical necessity, compliance standards, and physician documentation training.
The trainer will conduct interactive workshops, provide audit-ready guidance, and improve documentation quality to support coding accuracy, compliance, and reimbursement processes.
Key ResponsibilitiesE/M Coding & Documentation Training:
- Train physicians and healthcare providers on updated 2021+ CMS E/M documentation guidelines.
- Educate teams on:
- Medical Decision Making (MDM)
- Time-based coding
- Medical necessity
- Telehealth modifiers and documentation
- Conduct documentation improvement sessions for clinical staff and coders.
Physician Documentation Guidance
Teach providers to properly document:
- Reason for encounter and relevant patient history
- Examination findings and diagnostic results
- Assessment/diagnosis with rationale for tests and procedures
- Plan of care with follow-up instructions
Compliance & Audit Readiness
- Identify and explain common denial reasons such as:
- Incorrect coding
- Insufficient documentation
- Missing documentation
- Provide audit-ready examples and standardized documentation templates.
- Ensure coding and documentation practices align with CMS, HIPAA, and payer regulations.
Workshops & Provider Engagement
- Conduct interactive training workshops with real-time case studies.
- Use clear, concise, and clinically relevant communication methods.
- Address provider questions and documentation gray areas with standardized guidance.
- Encourage continuous feedback and learning improvement.
Required Qualifications:
- Certified Medical Coder:
- CPC / CCS or equivalent certification from AAPC or AHIMA
- Strong understanding of:
- CMS E/M Guidelines (2021 and later updates)
- Medical necessity requirements
- MDM and time-based coding
- Telehealth coding and modifiers
- Experience in physician education, medical coding audits, or clinical documentation training.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills.
Pay: ₹500,000.00 - ₹800,000.00 per year
